Terms of Service

My Charming Companion ("MCC," "we," "us") operates a social companionship marketplace at mycharming.com. We connect people seeking social companionship ("Clients") with verified individuals offering their time and company ("Companions").

MCC is a platform, not an agency. We facilitate introductions and provide the tools for booking — but we are not a party to any agreement between a Client and a Companion. Companions are independent individuals, not employees or contractors of MCC.

By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use MCC.

Let's be clear:

• ✕ MCC is not a dating platform. Bookings are for platonic social companionship only.
• ✕ MCC is not an escort service. We do not facilitate, condone, or tolerate romantic, sexual, or physical services of any kind.
• ✕ MCC is not an employer. Companions set their own rates, schedules, and boundaries.

Any attempt to use MCC for purposes outside of platonic social companionship will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.

To use MCC, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate, truthful information in your profile
• Have legal authorization to work in your country (Companions)
• Complete identity verification through Stripe Identity (Companions)
• Agree to our Community Guidelines

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate accounts at our discretion.

Every interaction on MCC is governed by mutual respect and clear boundaries. All users agree to:

• Treat all interactions as platonic and professional
• Respect boundaries set by the other party — no means no, always
• Meet in public settings for first encounters
• Not use drugs or be excessively intoxicated during bookings
• Not engage in, request, or offer any illegal activity
• Not pressure, coerce, or manipulate the other party in any way
• Honor agreed-upon timing, location, and itinerary

Either party may end a booking at any time, for any reason, without penalty. Your safety and comfort come first.

Companions must complete Stripe Identity verification before their profile goes live. This confirms you are who you say you are. MCC does not store government-issued ID documents — verification is handled entirely by Stripe Identity under their own privacy policy.

All profiles must be truthful. This means:

• Real, recent photos of yourself
• Accurate descriptions of your experience and interests
• Honest representation of your availability and location

Fake profiles, stolen photos, or material misrepresentation will result in immediate removal.

Clients are required to provide a valid name, email, and phone number. We may require additional verification for certain booking types or at the Companion's request.

How booking works:

1. Client contacts Companion through MCC and arranges a free video interview
2. Both parties agree on date, time, duration, location, itinerary, and rate
3. Client submits a 50% deposit to confirm the booking
4. Remaining balance is due as agreed between parties

Cancellations:

• 48+ hours notice: Full deposit refund
• 24–48 hours notice: 50% of deposit refunded
• Less than 24 hours / no-show: No refund

If a Companion cancels or no-shows, the Client receives a full deposit refund. Repeated cancellations by either party may result in account suspension.

Platform fees: MCC charges a service fee on each booking. This is disclosed before payment is confirmed. Companions receive their agreed rate minus the platform fee.

Your safety is the foundation everything else is built on.

• Report any issue through your account dashboard or by emailing safety@mycharming.com
• All reports are reviewed within 24 hours
• Serious violations trigger immediate account suspension pending investigation
• We cooperate with law enforcement when required by law or when user safety is at risk

We strongly recommend sharing your booking details (time, location, Companion name) with a trusted friend or family member before any meeting.

If you are ever in immediate danger, call 911 first.

The MCC name, logo, website design, and original content are owned by My Charming Companion. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of our platform without written permission.

Content you upload (photos, bio text, reviews) remains yours, but you grant MCC a non-exclusive license to display it on the platform for the purpose of operating the service.

MCC provides a platform for connection. We do not guarantee the behavior, quality, safety, or suitability of any user. By using MCC, you acknowledge that:

• In-person meetings carry inherent risk
• MCC is not liable for any damages, injuries, losses, or disputes arising from interactions between users
• MCC's total liability to you shall not exceed the fees you've paid to MCC in the 12 months preceding the claim

You agree to indemnify and hold MCC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or your interactions with other users.

Any disputes arising from these Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Before pursuing legal action, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If that fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Austin, Texas, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Class action lawsuits and class-wide arbitration are waived.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email.

Continued use of MCC after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
